Ayurveda literally means 'Science of life.' It is the ancient most natural healing system, regarded as 'Revealed Knowledge'. Ayurveda is of divine origin.

Ayurveda originated as an integral part of the spiritual science of Vedas, who give a comprehensive insight in to the nature of the universe.
Ayurveda is the ancient most medical system known to humans. It is the traditional system of medicine, which emphasizes the use of natural resources to cure ones illness. Ayurveda talks of not only illness and diseases, but also ways to prevent them in the first place. Ayurveda stresses on maintaining a simple and stressful lifestyle.

It has profound 'holistic' approach to human health. It recognizes the deep-rooted relation between human body and mind in the process of origin and disappearance of disease.

Ayurveda is the complete system of healing as it considers not only physical but al so psychological and spiritual well being in its definition of one being healthy.

Every person is diagnosed on the basis of the tridosha balance and then treated with the helps of various herbal and mineral compounds.
The Ayurvedic technique of medicines is presently gaining more and more acceptance not only in India but also around the world. Especially due to its holistic nature and lack of any side effects. The Ayurvedic system of medicine provides extensive knowledge of the healing powers of innumerable herbs whose origin they seem to feel divine.

PANCHKARMA:

Indicated for both healthy individuals and diseased, as a means of maintaining the equilibrium of mind and body and eradicating the toxic substances accumulated in the body, Panchakarma are regarded as an exclusive treatment of Ayurvedic tradition. Due to the nature of modern life style, food habits, diseases etc. our body invariably becomes dumping ground of unlimited toxic and waste substances.

By means of the Panchakarma procedures the toxins lodged even at the lower layer of the body are flushed out and eliminated. These treatments often bring out the deep-rooted origins of diseases to the surface level where they can be treated and cured.

Snehan (oil massage) and Swedan (medicated steam) are the methods to prepare the body for Panchakarma, the five modes of which are Vaman (Vomitting), Virechan (Purgation), Basti (Enema with herbs), Nassya (administration of medicated oils through nostrils) and Raktamokshan (blood-letting). The participants are examined carefully by Vaidyas using Nadi-system (pulse diagnosis) and also other modern diagnostic methods if situation demands. The Panchakarma treatment also includes massage, steam bath, special herbal poultices and body wrapping with leaves etc.

Our center is located in the serene and peaceful Shivpuri ashram. This is the place from where the message of Agnihotra - the Vedic discipline for healing the polluted atmosphe re & purifying 'prana' is being spread through out the world. Nestled in the soothing 'Homa atmosphere'  and surrounded by medicinal herbs, the ambience in the center itself feels healing and relaxing.

The period of Panchakarma therapy is meant for relaxing the body and mind. Ideally one should take away this time for meditation, self-study and introspection. One should try to keep the mind as peaceful as possible.
